Adolf Hitler fantasised of transforming Berlin into the Welthauptstadt Germania (World Capital Germania) which would be the epicentre of his thousand-year Reich… but that empire was to last no more than 12 years and by the end, both his capital and totalitarian vision lay in ruins.

Explore the former Jewish quarter, see the location of Nazi bunkers, air raid shelter, anti-aircraft installations, war-damaged buildings, resistance monuments such as Operation Valkyrie, WWII battlefields and learn about the plans drawn up by Hitler’s favourite architect, Albert Speer, to build this monumental imperial capital.
