Matemo Island is situated in the Quirimbas Archipelago, northern Mozambique. The island caters for a variety of guests including those on family holidays, and fishing, diving and cultural enthusiasts.There are 24 chalets at this beach hotel. Guests are welcomed in a lobby and the hotel also has a bar and a restaurant. In addition to gift shops/newsstands, the hotel features laundry facilities and supervised childcare and children's activities. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas.All chalets are within 10 metres of the beach, with a large front veranda with a hammock, chairs or sun loungers and a beach towel drying rack. All chalets have air conditioning, mosquito screens, a minibar, safe, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and an electronic safe. They also all have an en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a bathtub with a view and large windows. Individually regulated air conditioning is a standard feature in all accommodation units.Guests can take a refreshing dip in the hotel's outdoor swimming pool and relax on sun loungers under the shade of parasols. Guests at this property have access to a private beach and diving is also available.The hotel offers all-inclusive packages.Fly into Pemba International Airport with Airlink or Lam (Mozambique Airlines) and transfer to Matemo via light aircraft (transfer duration +/- 20 minutes). For any flights arriving in Pemba after 2:30 pm, guests need to stay overnight in Pemba, and will be transferred to Matemo the following morning. Due to the use of light aircraft for their island transfer, guests are requested to limit their luggage to a maximum of 15 kg and to utilise soft luggage carriers.
